Limnology and Oceanography: Fluids and Environments (L&O:F&E) publishes interdisciplinary limnology and oceanography research focusing on the interactions of fluid dynamics and biological, chemical, and geological processes in aquatic environments. The journal focuses on transport phenomena and their environmental implications, from large-scale currents to organism-induced motions and molecular-level transfers. L&O:F&E publishes a variety of approaches, including modeling, theory, and empiricism, and features in an online-only format. See the Call for Papers.
All members of the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography have free access to the journal. Libraries have the option to purchase a subscription. Some articles are open-access. Because the journal is available in an online-only format, there are no issues. Rather, articles are uploaded and available on a rolling basis throughout the year, where one year is equivalent to one journal volume.
