Requests for examination copies of Duke University Press paperbacks may be submitted online or by faxing a request on institutional letterhead to 919-688-4391.

A maximum of three examination copies may be requested each semester. Please allow three weeks for delivery. There is a $5 handling fee for each paperback exam copy, payable by check or credit card.

The exam copy becomes your desk copy if the book is adopted.

On-approval examination copies of cloth-only books will be sent with an invoice, which will be canceled upon receipt of evidence of adoption, return of the book within sixty days, or payment.

Complimentary desk copies of required textbooks are available to faculty members whose course enrollment is ten or more students. You may request a desk copy by utilizing our online form or by faxing your request to 919-688-4391.

Complimentary desk copies of recommended or optional textbooks and multiple desk copies are sent at the discretion of the publisher.

Scholars in the United Kingdom and Europe wishing to receive inspection or desk copies of Duke University Press titles should contact Combined Academic Publishers, Ltd. by utilizing the online form or by fax (0)1494-581602.

Scholars in all other areas should fax a request on institutional letterhead to 919-688-4391.

Duke University Press books are also available from your local bookseller (if the book is not in stock, please ask them to order it for you) and many online retailers.
