    The Society for French Historical Studies (SFHS) is an organization of North American historians of France. Its purpose is to promote scholarly study of all aspects of French history, chiefly through the publication of a journal (French Historical Studies), its prizes for scholarly excellence, and its annual conference.

    French Historical Studies, the leading journal on the history of France, publishes articles and commentaries on all periods of French history from the Middle Ages to the present.
