FAQs for Journal Subscribers

You may subscribe and pay online using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) by selecting the journal in which you are interested from the journal list and selecting the Subscribe option. You may also pay by check or money order (in U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank), and mail it to

You can order an electronic copy of most single journal issues on a pay-per-view basis through HighWire. To view a listing of the online availability of our journals, visit the Electronic Access page.

Many print single or special issues are also available. You can view selected single or special issues by clicking on the Back Issues tab of a journal's item detail page or by conducting a search. If you are unable to locate the single issue, please submit an inquiry. You can also order single issues by mail, phone, or fax.

To prevent a delay in processing your order, please include the single issue's volume and issue numbers. You may pay for your order online using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). If you subscribed online, you can view the status and starting issue of your subscription by logging in to the My Account section of the site and clicking My Subscriptions. If you did not subscribe online, please contact our Customer Service Department to find out when your subscription will begin.

If you subscribed online, you can view the status of your subscription and its expiration date by logging in to the My Account section of the site and clicking My Subscriptions. You can now renew your subscription online simply by clicking the Renew Now link on the My Subscriptions page. If you have established an online account, you may update your subscription address by logging in to the My Account section of the site and clicking on My Addresses. If you do not have an online account, please contact our Customer Service Department.

If you have established an online account and subscribed online, you can access a copy of your receipt at any time by logging in to the My Account portion of the site and clicking on Order History. You can also contact our Customer Service Department to request a receipt by mail or fax.

If you have established an online account and renewed online, you can check the status of your subscription by logging in to My Account and selecting My Subscriptions. If you have already renewed by mail or phone, please disregard the renewal notice. If you still have questions about the status of your subscription, please contact our Customer Service Department.

We ship journal subscriptions via USPS surface mail, which does not offer tracking numbers.

Once you have received e-mail confirmation that your claim has been filled, a replacement copy will be shipped from our warehouse within ten working days.
