The e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection is moving to a new platform!

In December 2013, the e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection will have a new home on the web, hosted by HighWire Press. All 1,500 titles included in the e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection since the first release in 2008 will be accessed on the new platform. The 2014 collection will debut on the new site. In preparation for this transition, we will post all information on this library resource page as it becomes available. We will also stay in frequent contact with customers via e-mail. The current 2013 collection will remain unchanged and continue to be hosted by ebrary. e-Duke Books Platform Transition FAQs

The new platform will launch in December 2013 with access to all content included in the e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection since the first release in 2008. The 2014 collection will debut on the new site. An early version of the site including all collection content and MARC records will be available for you to explore on the new platform in early Fall 2013. Information for updating your systems to work with the new platform will also be available in Fall 2013. The current 2013 collection will remain unchanged and continue to be hosted by ebrary through February 2014. No administrative action will be asked of librarians until Fall 2013.

September 2013: An early version of the new site, hosting all collection content since the first release in 2008, will be available to librarians.

September 2013: Information for updating library systems to work with the new platform will be available.

December 2013: The new platform launches. All e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection content will be accessed on the new site.

January 2014: The 2014 e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection debuts on the new site.

February 2014: Access to the collection via ebrary will discontinue.

Nothing about the 2013 e-Duke Books collection will change. The 2013 collection will continue to be hosted on ebrary through February 2014.

Yes, the entire backlist of Duke e-books as well as new content will be hosted on the new platform. E-books that you purchased via the e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection will switch from being hosted on ebrary to the new site. Any Duke e-books that you purchased through ebrary or through other vendors as single titles will continue to be hosted by ebrary or by their current site.

All Duke e-books acquired through the e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection will be accessed on the new platform. Former as well as current e-Duke Books customers will receive instructions for accessing their content on the new platform.

The e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection will be available on the new site in December 2013. Redundant access will be maintained on ebrary through February 2014.

The URLs associated with the new platform will be available in Fall 2013. We will e-mail all current and former collection customers to notify you when this information is ready.

MARC records are now available to current customers only. They can be downloaded on the Librarian Tools page.

Please visit partners.ebrary.com to download your institution's usage data from 2008 through 2013. Beginning in 2014, all new usage data for the collection will be accessed on HighWire. We will send you reminders to download your ebrary usage data in December 2013 and before the transition is complete.

The collection's DRM policies will be no more restrictive than they currently are. We will continually assess options for making e-Duke Books as accessible and usable as possible.
