Submission guidelines for History of Political Economy

When revising your manuscript for final submission, refer to the fifteenth edition of The Chicago Manual of Style (CMS) for matters of style. If you do not have access to CMS, refer to a current issue of HOPE.

Papers should be written or typed for final submission using software designed for text, such as Word or WordPerfect. Please do not use software designed for mathematical word processing (e.g., LaTeX or Scientific WorkPlace); if you do, and your paper is accepted for submission, you will likely be asked to retype the entire paper in Word or WordPerfect. Please submit your paper by e-mail to hope@econ.duke.edu. Include a message that announces the title of the paper, identifies it as a submission, and briefly describes its content.

Only original, unpublished papers will be considered. Please do not simultaneously offer your paper to another publication. Authors are expected to submit art for accepted articles in camera-ready form and are expected to sign a publication agreement as a precondition of publication.
