Welcome
to Duke University Press's library portal
Dear Librarian:
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Library
Relations Manager at Duke University Press. As the main point person
for library communication, I wanted to let you know about some upcoming
changes in 2006 to our title list. Here, you will find the 2006
price list and title information, subscription
terms, and the e-Duke
Scholarly Collection pricing information sheet available for download.
A new partnership with HighWire
Press
We are pleased to announce that beginning in 2006, online access for individual
Duke journals as well as the e-Duke Scholarly Collection will be available
through HighWire. Forthcoming access information will soon be available
on this site.
e-Duke Scholarly Collection
In 2006, Duke University Press is introducing the e-Duke Scholarly Collection.
For details regarding the model, please see the
e-Duke Scholarly Collection pricing information sheet and view our
e-Duke Scholarly Collection FAQ page.
Features of the model include
• tiered pricing
• a new discount structure
• titles available on Project Muse included at no additional cost
• access to available issues from the 2000–2005 volumes
Final prices must be confirmed by Duke University Press before payment
is submitted. (Any incorrect payments will be returned without processing.)
New titles for 2006
New German Critique and Philosophical Review will be
joining the Duke journals list. New German Critique will be added
to the e-Duke Scholarly Collection. (Philosophical Review will
not yet be included in the e-Duke Scholarly Collection.)
DMJ 100
Duke University Press has extended the maintenance agreement from ten
to twenty years for the one-time maintenance fee of $1,000 for the outright–purchase
model.
Changes in 2006
Beginning in 2006, Duke University Press will offer additional flexibility
in the formats in which Duke journals may be purchased. Three options
are available—print only, electronic only, and print plus electronic.
I look forward to working with you in the future. Please do not hesitate
to contact me directly via email
or by phone at 919-687-3655.
Sincerely,
Kimberly
Steinle
