Am I eligible for free online access as part of my subscription?
Free online access is a benefit available to subscribers
of most Duke University Press journals. Please click here
for a list of journals offered online. With a current print subscription,
you can view electronic issues back to the year 2000 as well as current
content. To take advantage, you will need to activate
your online subscription with HighWire Press.

How do I obtain my customer number for online access?
Your subscription reference number is the same as your
Duke University Press account number. This number is located on the
mailing label of your print copy of the journal as well as on your renewal
notice. If you are unable to locate this number, please submit a Member
Reference Number Request to have customer service send this information
to you.

How do I activate my online subscription?
To activate, please follow these instructions:
1. Visit dukejournals.org/subscriptions.
2. Under the “Activation” header, click “Individuals
and Society Members: Activate your online access.”
3. Enter your customer number. (Your customer number is located on your
mailing label. If you no longer have that, please contact
us. If we have an e-mail address on file for you, activation instructions
with customer number included will be sent when your order is processed.)
4. Click “Submit,” which will produce an activation form.
5. Complete the form to activate your access to the products listed.
The e-mail address provided will be used to contact you regarding electronic
access.
6. Click “Send form.”
7. You should now have access to Duke University Press titles. You will
receive a confirmation e-mail at the e-mail address provided. Visit
the Journals home page at dukeupress.edu/journals
for additional information on any Duke University Press title.
