The Banach Journal of Mathematical Analysis (BJMA) publishes papers numbering 15 or more pages. Shorter papers should be submitted to the Annals of Functional Analysis.
Manuscripts should be written in English and typeset with double spacing using AMS-LaTeX. The authors should use the BJMA style file that has been developed for LaTeX2e. (A typeset example is available here.) BJMA is an author-prepared journal, which means that authors are responsible for using the style file of the BJMA to properly format accepted articles. BJMA does not accept files in Microsoft Word. Authors should take care of the following items when submitting a manuscript:
Authors should submit their manuscripts online using the Editorial Manager system at www.editorialmanager.com/bjma. Register at the site to create a username and password; then log in as “Author.” A tutorial is available at the site. Submissions sent directly to one of the journal’s editors will not be accepted.
Submitted manuscripts must be correct, original, well written, in the scope of journal, and with deep results. If the language used is very poor, then the manuscript will be rejected. A submitted paper will be refereed in the traditional way by at least one referee. BJMA tries to make the decision within four months after submission, but this primarily depends on the referees. If you have not received a notice of the decision after four months, kindly send a reminder to the editor in chief by e-mail. If necessary, the corresponding author will be asked to revise the manuscript according to the referee report(s). The editorial board reserves the right to make reasonable modifications to the wording in a manuscript.
The page proofs of each paper will be sent to the corresponding author, who is responsible for checking and approving the article on behalf of all coauthors. A limited number of typographical corrections are anticipated and extensive revisions may be reviewed again.
Articles will be published online as they are completed and will be assigned to a volume and issue at a later date. Authors will receive a PDF file of their paper in the final published format with final volume, issue, and page numbers.
There is no publication or page fee associated with this journal, unless the authors would like to publish their paper open access. The article processing charge for this service is US$1,000 per article.
By submitting a manuscript, the authors agree that the copyright for their paper is transferred to both the Tusi Mathematical Research Group and Duke University Press, if and when the paper is accepted for publication.
The publishers are obliged to assist the mathematics community in publishing ethics. No paper that has been previously published, that has been copyrighted, or that is being considered for publication elsewhere should be submitted to BJMA. Nor may a paper that is under consideration by BJMA be submitted elsewhere. By submitting a manuscript, the authors confirm that there is no plagiarism and duplicate submission.
